FLIGHTS
We know that arranging flights can sometimes feel like the most complicated part of planning your trip. To help make this process as smooth as possible, we’ve put together answers to some of the most 'frequently asked questions' about flights:
-
Despite many studies into this topic, airlines remain experts at ensuring the answer to this question is essentially impossible to predict. Their dynamic pricing is a way of maximizing their profit but can be frustrating for travelers trying to get the best price. That's why we recommend checking online flight booking websites and confirming your flights once you find something that fits your budget, and don't wait too long as availability is limited, and last-minute flights can often be the most expensive.
-
Parvilla Travel can't book your flights between your home and your destination, but we’re happy to provide some guidance and recommendations. Our travelers typically have varying preferences for airlines, departure cities, class of service and loyalty programs, so we encourage you to book flights that best suit your needs. When searching, we always recommend booking directly through an airline when possible. Sometimes you'll find a better fare through a reputable online travel agent (OTA) like Expedia, but try to avoid any OTAs with bad reviews, they tend to hook you with low prices but are unable to ticket your fare or provide assistance.
-
Absolutely! Based on your departure city, we’re happy to recommend airlines or popular routes. Feel free to email us or reach out to your travel agent for additional help.

You will be arriving and departing from Palma de Mallorca Airport also known as Son Sant Joan Airport. The airport code is PMI. There are no direct flights from North America, so expect at least one transfer.
-
Since everyone will have an international flight, we allow the entire first day for guests to arrive. If you can book flights that arrive in Mallorca by 3pm, you will have more time to relax and becoming acquainted with the hotel. We will meet as a group on either the first evening or next morning for a short meet and greet. Details will be provided in an email prior to departure.
-
The official time required for a connection varies by airport, but most international flights require anywhere from 60-90 minutes between flights. If you’re concerned about having enough time between your connecting flight, we recommend booking a flight with a connection of at least an hour and a half, but of course, there's no guarantee that the flights will be on time. If you happen to miss your connecting flight, you'll need to make contact with your airline as soon as possible to learn of their next steps to get you back on your way.
-
You’re free to depart anytime on the last day of your trip. Hotel check out is 11am so if you need more time please ask at the front desk. We do not book any rides on the final day of our trips, so you are welcome to book your flight out at any time. Most flights depart by 12pm so it is not usually an issue. Shuttles pickup approx. 2-2.5 hours before departure, don’t worry, you will be given your pickup times ahead of time during the week.
-
Flight delays can certainly happen. If it results in you are arriving later than expected, please contact us right away through the WhatsApp group for your trip and we’ll provide instructions. Always have the hotel information ready in the event you need to get a taxi.
-
Arriving a day or more early is always a smart idea! It gives you time to adjust to a new time zone, recover from long flights, mitigate any problems from flight delays/cancellations and helps you to start your trip feeling refreshed. Plus, who doesn’t love a little extra time to explore?
We can often help book pre-trip accommodations when available at our group hotel, so don't hesitate to ask us.

Many of our travelers choose to extend their stay to relax and explore Mallorca by car. If you’re extending your stay, we can help you book any extra nights at the group hotel when available.
